CHERRYMAX® OVERSIZE UNIVERSAL HEAD RIVETS (CERTIFIED)
Cherry Textron Cherrymax® rivets are the industry standard blind rivets. They are structurally rated, which means that they are just as strong as a solid rivet and can be used anywhere as solid rivet can be used. The flush fracturing stem breaks off cleanly to produce a smooth domed or flush head upon proper installation.

NOMINAL VS OVERSIZE: The diameter of nominal sized rivets are exactly the specified diameter (i.e. a 1/8" diameter rivet is 0.1250"), and they are used for original installation. Oversized rivets, on the other hand, have a diameter slightly larger than the specified size (usually about 0.0100"), and are used when replacing an original rivet. The larger diameter accommodates the enlarged (swelled) hole produced when the removed rivet was first installed. So remember, use nominal when installing rivets for the first time, and use oversized when replacing a rivet.
CERTIFICATION: We sell Cherrymax rivets in both packs of 50 and 100. The 50 packs are packaged by us (ATS) and do not include traceability (certification) information. Whereas, 100 packs (those with part numbers ending in "C") are in the original manufacturer's packaging which the appropriate certifications and lot numbers. Therefore, if you need certs and traceability, then you must order in packs of 100.
How to determine rivet length
Measure the grip thickness of the section to be riveted (A B), and add to that 1.5 times the rivet diameter. Round result to nearest 1/16" to get length.
Example: A= .030, B= .250, Rivet Diameter (D) = .125 (1/8")
Grip Thickness = A B= .280
Length (L)= .280 1.5*(.125)= .4675
Multiply Length by 16 to find the nearest 1/16: Length*16 = 7.48
The correct length is either a -7 (e.g. CR3213-4-7 for the 50-Pack, or CR3213-4-7C for the certified 100-pack).
